Dr. Brent Taylor has led our congregation for over twenty-four years. An avid historian, Brent graduated from Baylor University with a history degree. His seminary education includes a master's degree from Southwestern Seminary and a doctorate degree from Southern Seminary. He has spent the great majority of his ministry at First Baptist where he began as a summer intern, served as Associate Pastor, and then became Senior Pastor in 1999. He and his wife, Allison, have three grown children and two Goldendoodles named Lincoln and Winston. Berkeley is married to Chase and works in the Dallas area. Briley is finishing college and headed to graduate school, and Brayden is at Texas Tech University. Brent enjoys reading, running, fishing, traveling, writing, and spending time with his family. Brent loves our church and he believes it is the people that make our church great. Let Brent know if you see the red light on at Krispy Kreme, but he’s probably already inside.
